Module 1: Prior to arrival
- Practical insights into the emotional world and the needs of a typical expat
- How to deal constructively with cultural differences! For example, on the topics of hierarchy, time management, relationship building, feedback and conflict management.
- Structured pre-boarding: early communication and support before the first day of work.
- Learn about conflict prevention in the event of cultural misunderstandings [incl. feedback methods and mediation]!
Module 2: Immediately after arrival
- Welcome packages: Provision of helpful materials for a successful start
- Setting up welcome talks and structured orientation plans [incl. checklists and communication routines].
- Recognize psychological stress upon arrival [e.g. isolation, culture shock or familial strains].
- Communicate expectations regarding punctuality, self-organization, willingness to integrate and other company values in a targeted and culturally appropriate manner.
- Raising awareness for everyday discrimination and microaggressions [incl. prevention strategies for companies]
Module 3: Ongoing throughout the stay
- Best practices and lessons learned regarding social integration in everyday life
- Successful integration of the entire expat family into the integration process.
- Feedback culture and regular development meetings: establishment of open communication channels and feedback mechanisms
- Integration always has two sides: Don't forget about the team which is going to welcome the new employees!
